Suffolk County Water Authority Applies for Over $80 Million in Grant Funding for Water Infrastructure Projects

The Suffolk County Water Authority announced today that it has submitted applications for grant funding through the Water Infrastructure Improvement Act (WIIA). The 38 projects are estimated to cost $80 million in total. The New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation made $325 million available for clean water and drinking water improvement projects.

Water Service on Main Road in Greenport to Be Improved by New Water Mains

The Suffolk County Water Authority (SCWA) is undertaking a major water main replacement project on Main Road in Greenport. The area will see approximately 2,100 feet of undersized water main replaced with new larger ductile iron water main, as well as the installation or replacement of four fire hydrants.
