Water Distribution Projects in Babylon Set to Improve Reliability

The Suffolk County Water Authority announced that four projects have been completed in October to improve the distribution of drinking water in the town of Babylon. The slew of projects replaced water mains that were prone to breaks or undersized. New ductile iron, PVC and copper water main that is appropriately sized for the areas will ensure that customers have reliable service of high-quality drinking water, and a robust network of hydrants are available for fire protection.

Suffolk County Water Authority Sees Success with Water Conservation Program

The Suffolk County Water Authority says that it is seeing success with its water conservation plan and that customers are adopting water savings measures. SCWA to Bring Water Main Improvements to Huntington and Centerport

The Suffolk County Water Authority completed two water main improvement projects in the Town of Huntington. Undersized water main on Queens Street and Hilltop Avenue was replaced with larger ductile water main. Further east in Centerport, more than 1,000 feet of undersized cast iron water main with low flow on Lakeside Drive was replaced with larger ductile iron water main. Both areas will see improvements to distribution of water, water pressure and improved fire protection.

Suffolk County Water Authority Survey Shows Strong Customer Approval

The results from a new survey show that customers of the Suffolk County Watery Authority overwhelmingly approve of the service provided by the utility. The survey was conducted by the independent market and opinion research firm Probolsky Research. Customers were asked to provide feedback on subjects such as customer service, water quality and other views on their drinking water.
