SCWA is currently seeking a CM Supervisor for our Construction Maintenance Department. The successful applicant will be required to cover at all CM Office locations including Oakdale, Westhampton, Coram, East Hampton and Huntington as needed.

Description:

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Installation, repair, and maintenance of water mains, water services, valves, and fire hydrants.
  • Directing and supervising all work performed by Authority crews and contractors relating to new construction and maintenance of the Authority’s water distribution system.

Qualifications:

  • Supervisory skills and/or past management experience preferred.
  • Experience with construction/maintenance of underground infrastructure.
  • Ability to read a distribution system map and blueprint drawings.
  • Ability to work with Windows-based operating systems.
  • The successful applicant will be required to obtain Grade D NYS Health Department Certification.
  • The applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a CDL B license.

The hours and days for this position will flexible based on operational and seasonal needs. Applicant’s typical work schedule will be Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with the requirement to periodically rotate to a work week of Tuesday - Saturday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., other times as needed. This person will also be required to function in an “on call” capacity.

Salary for this position will be commensurate with education and experience within a range of $80-$95k. Suffolk County residency is highly preferred.
