The North Fork Halpin Transmission Line will bring water from the Pine Barrens to the residents of the North Fork, where it is needed. This project will entail 44,000 feet of pipe used to move water between the Riverside area within the Pine Barrens, to Main Road in Laurel in the Town of Southold. At the event, SCWA Chairman Patrick Halpin was joined by CEO Jeff Szabo, Deputy CEO for Operations Joe Pokorny, Director of Strategic Initiatives Tyrand Fuller, Southold Town Supervisor Scott Russell, Assistant Regional Director for DEC Region 1 Robert Calarco, and Executive Director of the Central Pine Barrens Joint Planning and Policy Commission Judith Jakobsen.
