ATTENTION OAKDALE CUSTOMERS:

Drinking Water Problem Resolved

 

SUFFOLK COUNTY WATER AUTHORITY

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Customers of the Suffolk County Water Authority were notified on July 2, 2020 that as the result of a water main break caused by a contractor performing an excavation in close proximity to a cesspool, they were to boil their water before use. This notification pertained to the following:

Residents and businesses located on Montauk Highway between Canterbury Ct. and Locust Ave. including Canterbury Ct. in Oakdale NY.

We are pleased to report that our sampling results indicate and that your water is now safe to drink and it is no longer necessary to boil water before use. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

We recommend that prior to resuming normal use, you thoroughly flush your service line and all taps by running your water for a minimum of five (5) minutes as a precaution.
