The Suffolk County Water Authority is undertaking a major water main replacement project on Pulaski Road in East Northport. The nearly $1 million infrastructure improvement, which extends from Larkfield Road to Old Bridge Road, will mean that the pipe will be less susceptible to breaks, and will also improve fire protection in the area, as the new pipe is 12 inches in diameter-twice the size of the pipe that was replaced. On hand to assess the project's progress near Old Bridge Road this week were,, from left, SCWA Chairman James F. Gaughran, SCWA Pipeline/Paving inspector Dawn Warren; Suffolk Legislator Lynne C. Nowick; and Suffolk Legislator Dr. William Spencer.
