Description:

SCWA is currently seeking a CM Supervisor for our Hydrant Division within the Construction Maintenance Department in Oakdale, to maintain the overall workflow of the division.

Responsibilities include:
• Working with other CM Supervisors to oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of water mains, water services, valves, and fire hydrants.
• Working with both service and maintenance divisions within the CM department.
• Working in the field to oversee Hydrant contractors & SCWA hydrant crews.
• Coordinating closely with other CM Supervisors to ensure benchmarks for hydrant inspections, painting and out-of-service time are kept.
• Identifying and initiating revisions and corrections to maps based on inspector observations.

Qualifications:
• Supervisory skills and/or past management experience preferred.
• Experience with construction/maintenance of underground infrastructure & fire hydrant maintenance.
• Ability to work with Windows-based operating systems.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license; CDL B license or ability to obtain one required.
• Must have exceptional organizational skills and the ability to keep accurate records.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Grade D water distribution license

The hours and days for this position will flexible based on operational and seasonal needs.

Applicant’s typical work schedule will be Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with the requirement to periodically rotate to a work week of Tuesday - Saturday 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., or other times as needed. This person will also be required to periodically function in an “on call” capacity. Suffolk County residency is a requirement. Salary for this position will be commensurate with experience.
