Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other developers in conceptualization and development of new software programs and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as needed.
- Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures to improve productivity.
- Definition, development and documentation of business requirements, objectives, deliverables, specifications, and testing on a project-by-project basis in collaboration with departments and users.
- Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation.
- Create LSMW programs and execute data uploads for data migration and batch master data updates.
- Train end users to understand and use new or modified programs.
- Documentation of programs and help desk tickets so other developers can quickly become knowledgeable as to their purpose and function.
- Monitoring of programs, scheduled jobs, and user processes within SAP to understand system workflow and ensure an error free production environment.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 2-4 years’ experience in an SAP environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology.
- Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans.
- Self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency in the ABAP programming language, BADI, BAPI, ALV, LSMW, SQL, function modules and remote function calls is required.
- SAP Script, Smart Forms experience is preferred.
- Good analytical capabilities, including the ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex organizational and functional business issues.
- Good communication skills are required when working with other developers, members of other departments and outside consultants.
- Ability to find solutions to programming and configuration problems without assistance is necessary.
- Experience with Word, Excel, and HTML preferred.
