How is my personal and financial information kept safe?

SCWA uses several methods to ensure that your information is secure:

  • Username and password: Your username and password are unique identifiers that only you know. As long as you don't share your username and password with anyone, no one can view your bills or personal information.
  • TLS1.2: We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.2, which ensures that your connection and information are secure from outside inspection.
  • Encryption: We use 256bit encryption to make your information unreadable as it passes over the internet.
  • Automatic Sign Out: We automatically sign you out of a session if you are inactive for 20 minutes.

What browser can I use?

You can access this site from any web-based computer with an internet connection and a web browser that supports 128-bit encryption. Examples are:

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer users (You will need version 11.0 or higher.)
  • Google Chrome Users (The latest version)
  • Firefox Users (The latest version)
  • Safari Users (The latest version.)

Why do I need a new password?

In order to ensure our customers the best billing experience, SCWA has changed our bill provider. As part of this changeover, all of our customers will need to provide a new, secure password. You will still be able to take advantage of our convenient E-billing and auto pay services by signing in with your new login information and re-registering for those services.

What about my old information? Is it secure?

Yes, all customer information from before this changeover is secure. However, customers who wish to continue paying their bill online or participate in auto pay will have to re-register for those services.
