Opportunity for Residents to Learn More About Their Drinking Water and Ask Questions.
The Suffolk County Water Authority is holding the next installment of its WaterTalk series of public meetings on Wednesday, March 26th at 6:00 pm at the Longwood Public Library, located at 800 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY 11953.
“We encourage our customers to take an active role in learning about their drinking water,” said SCWA Chief Executive Officer Jeff Szabo. “This WaterTalk event will allow residents to ask questions, understand the work we do to ensure water quality, and learn ways to conserve while saving on their bills.”
A panel of SCWA experts will discuss water quality in the Middle Island area, recent infrastructure improvements made to enhance service and the differences between tap and bottled water. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn practical tips for reducing their water bills.
Residents who wish to attend in person can RSVP by emailing WaterTalk@SCWA.com by Monday, March 17th. A virtual option will also be available, with the Zoom link posted on SCWA’s website prior to the event.
