Islip Town Councilman Gene Parrington (second from left) and Tim Motz of the Suffolk County Water Authority (far right) joined recently with members of Brentwood Gardens Community Organization to celebrate a collaboration in which SCWA provided a water source for a garden project on MacArthur Avenue and Islip Town agreed to repave the roadway. Eggplants, tomatoes, corn and other vegetables are being grown by community members.
