Summary:
The HRIS Analyst will manage and maintain the system that centralizes employee data, streamlines HR processes, and supports various HR functions like payroll, benefits, and performance management. The incumbent will ensure data accuracy, improve efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making within the HR department and the wider organization. This position is a Monday-Friday on-site position located in Oakdale, NY. Suffolk county residence is highly preferred; Long Island residence is required.

Description:
Responsibilities include:
- Leads the continuous evaluation and evolution of HR Systems that include payroll systems, time, compensation, benefits, talent management, performance management, etc.
- Actively identifies and resolves issues or opportunities for enhanced user experience and other HRIS integrations.
- Develops, documents, and maintains all current and new HRIS business process workflows for efficiency and compliance.
- Partners with cross-functional team members and IT team members on HRIS-related issues/enhancements/queries.
- Translates functional requirements into work breakdown structures and technical specifications via information gathering, workshops, sessions and interviews with key stakeholders.
- Maintains and administers ad hoc report writing tools for end users; training and assisting users of those ad hoc report writing tools.
- Communicate with project teams, vendors, consultants, stakeholders and end users.
- Listens to internal customer needs and explains complex technical issues and solutions in a plain and common descriptive manner.
- Create, edit and manage HRIS standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years’ experience working with HRIS systems; experience with SAP SuccessFactors highly preferred. Experience with SAP ECC HR/Payroll is “nice to have”.
- Proven experience with advanced time and compensation rules, talent management, benefits, and reporting modules.
- Experience managing HRIS changes/implementations.
- Out-of-the-box thinker and a hands-on team player, continuously seeking ways to improve and optimize use of HRIS platform.
- Detail and process-oriented.
- Able to effectively partner with IT and non-technical stakeholders to understand user needs and translate needs into technical process and configuration requirements.
- Strong leadership, management and team building skills to effectively lead cross functional project teams.
- Thorough understanding of and experience with the system development life cycle.
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
- Skilled in demonstrating innovation and creativity by continually improving internal processes.
- Strong problem solving/analytical skills with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Able to work both independently and with cross-functional teams using good judgment.
- Proficient in Excel and managing data.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective presentation skills for communicating the strategic story behind HR data.
