The Suffolk County Water Authority is seeking an Intern with a major in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related to work in our Engineering department in Coram.
Responsibilities:
- Work with SCWA’s Engineering Civil team on various projects.
- Assist in the design and review of infrastructure construction projects.
- Assist in the development of design drawings.
- Assist in the preparation of contract specifications and bid documents.
- Assist with field inspections of ongoing infrastructure projects
- Assist with budgetary cost estimates.
Requirements:
- No prior work experience necessary.
- Must be able to work outside as well as in office.
- Must have a valid NYS driver’s license.
- Experience with AutoCAD systems preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Must be a Suffolk County resident.
This is a paid internship within a range of $17.50-21.50/hr depending on year. Employment will begin in May and continue through mid-August. Work hours are to be determined, with a maximum of 28 hours per week.
