Suffolk County Legislator John M. Kennedy, Jr. joined Suffolk County Water Authority Board Member Errol Toulon, Jr., Smithtown Town Councilmen Bob Creighton and Ed Wehrheim and members of the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce for a ceremony on Thursday, June 9 celebrating the beginning of a project to beautify the triangle at the intersection of Smithtown Boulevard and Terry Road. The Suffolk County Water Authority (SCWA) provided a water source for flowers and other plantings that will be donated by the chamber, local businesses and the town of Smithtown. The SCWA waived the fee for tapping a nearby water main on Terry Road because the Suffolk County Department of Public Works agreed to restore the road, a cost which would typically have been covered by the SCWA.
