The site navigation utilizes arrow, enter, escape, and space bar key commands. Left and right arrows move across top level links and expand / close menus in sub levels. Up and Down arrows will open main level menus and toggle through sub tier links. Enter and space open menus and escape closes them as well. Tab will move on to the next part of the site rather than go through menu items.
Our state-of-the-art testing facility is staffed by experts dedicated to protecting the quality of Suffolk County's drinking water.
Our laboratory team is always on the job. Our world-class chemists are running tests around the clock to monitor your water supply every hour of every day.
Our laboratory undergoes rigorous NYS certification. Our rotating shifts ensure critical quality thresholds are monitored without interruption to safeguard public health.
We test for 251 more compounds than required by state and federal regulations. We don't just follow the rules; we lead the industry.
We monitor for emerging contaminants, including PFAS and 1,4-dioxane, to stay ahead of future regulations and ensure transparency.
Our instruments detect substances down to parts per trillion—the equivalent of finding one second in 32,000 years.
We utilize state-of-the-art instrumentation to achieve detection limits that provide absolute certainty in water quality data across the entire aquifer system.
We test at each step of the process: from raw water at the source, during and after treatment and throughout the entire distribution system—just before it reaches your tap.
Continuous monitoring at treatment facilities is backed by field collections from neighborhood sampling stations to ensure consistent purity.
