Description:

This position is the first point of contact and acts as a liaison with the public, SCWA employees, customers, and vendors, and requires the ability to deal with all levels management. You'll partner with an experienced Director on the ownership of the calendar, setting-up and coordinating meetings and travel arrangements, and organizing projects and communications and stakeholders. This is the role for you if you are passionate about cross-functional project management and organizing important information. You will be expected to work with minimal guidance, act on urgent priorities, and act with a high level of discretion when handling confidential information. The position is responsible for controlling ID badge access for the entire company.

Applicants should possess a strong work ethic will the ability to learn and adapt as the needs of the department change. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills in order to maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors/contractors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facilities, or related field (current students who are upcoming graduates within one semester may apply).
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be goal oriented, organized, and motivated to learn.
  • Experience dealing with high degree of discretion and ability to keep information confidential.
  • Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Skills:

  • 1-3 years as an Administrative Assistant.
  • Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of security/card access systems.
  • Suffolk County residence is highly preferred.

Hours for this position will be Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Interested candidates should submit their application/resume via the SCWA website (www.scwa.com and click on Career Opportunities, then select the appropriate position).
