SCWA Chairman James F. Gaughran and SCWA Senior Hydrogeologist Tyrand Fuller supervise as students from Gelinas Junior High School study the ecology of Stump Pond in Blydenburgh County Park on October 15. The activity was part of a massive hands-on science initiative in which more than 1,500 students studied three different Suffolk County river systems. The program is organized by the Central Pine Barrens Commission.
