Maintenance Announcements

ph024a

The Authority is constantly working to improve the system of pipes, valves and hydrants that make up your water distribution system. Very often, these operations will dislodge sediment within a water main and cause temporary discoloration of your water. The list below gives the most up to date information on when and where maintenance work is going on. If you are experiencing discolored water and work is taking place near your home, the best way to resolve this is to let your cold water tap run sufficiently until the problem clears. This may take up to 10 minutes and you should let the water run with a stream the diameter of a pencil during this time. If this doesn’t clear your water, please wait a few hours and try running the water again. If the problem still is not resolved after waiting, please give us a call and we’ll work with you to resolve the problem.
