Emergency Preparedness

The Suffolk County Water Authority received two satellite phones from the Suffolk County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Services (SCFRES) last week for use in the event of an emergency, such as a hurricane. The phones will provide a vital link for responders to communicate and share information with both traditional first responders and the SCWA. These phones will further bolster the SCWA’s extensive emergency preparedness plan.
