1. Is there a charge to pick-up bid packages?

   The majority of the time there is no charge for plans and specifications.

2. Where can I pick up bid packages?

   At the Purchasing Department, located at 4040 Sunrise Highway, Oakdale, NY 11769.

3. How soon will bid packages be mailed following my request?

   Normally, bid packages are mailed within 24 hours of request. If you request a bid package after 1:00 on a Friday, it may not go out until the following Monday. If Monday is a holiday, the bid package will not be mailed until Tuesday.

   However, please pay attention to the bid opening date. If your request arrives within five (5) days of the scheduled bid opening date and the bid package is sent via First Class U.S. Mail, Suffolk County Water Authority cannot guarantee that you will receive the bid package in time to submit your proposal.

   You may pick up the bid package at the Suffolk County Water Authority Purchasing Department, 4040 Sunrise Highway, Oakdale, N.Y. Our hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 :00 p.m.

   If you are unable to pick up the bid package and would like it sent via overnight delivery, please provide your Fed-Ex account number for mailing when registering.
   

4. Can I have a bid package sent to me via overnight delivery?

   Yes, if you provide your Fed Ex account number we can overnight plans and specs to you.

5. Can I obtain bid results from prior contracts?

   By submitting a Freedom of Information Request, in writing, we can provide copies of prior bid results.

6. What are the business hours for the Purchasing Department?

   Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

7. When are contracts awarded?

   Contracts are awarded by the SCWA Board Members at their monthly meetings.
